People blither on about the versatility of tailored clothing. With a few crucial exceptions almost every self proclaimed #menswear buff will tell you two suits produce four outfits. This is, allegedly, simply a matter of wearing one ensemble as separates.
In practice, nobody wants to be that guy wearing an odd suit jacket, looking like he’s just run out of polyester backups being blow-torched by his overpriced dry cleaner.
Nabilmust of Sydney has mixed two of his latest patrickjohnsontailors rigs together, achieving the sought-after versatility advertisers bang on about when trying to hawk you the 2-for-1 special. Pulling off the suit-as-separate attire bears a few nuanced difficulties.
A clean properly lengthened skirt and soft shoulders: these produce garments good for pulling double duty. And while traditionalists would frown heavily at the notion of wearing a DB as a separate, the 4 x 2 configuration coupled with patch pockets makes for something casually dressy.
Good work, brother.
